Project Summary
Varsity 1 is a whole-home renovation in Calgary's Varsity community, designed around warmth, texture, and softened architectural detailing. The interior direction combines rift-cut white oak millwork, warm mahogany brown accents, soft curved millwork, honed quartz countertops, wide-plank ash engineered hardwood, French brass and matte black hardware, fluted marble accent tile, large-format travertine-inspired porcelain, textured backsplash details, and full-slab porcelain cladding in the primary ensuite steam shower. The result is a major renovation with a calm, highly finished interior language and a strong sense of craft throughout.
Design Intent
Warm, curved, and quietly elevated. The design concept emphasizes softened millwork lines, natural wood texture, layered stone surfaces, brass and black accents, and a consistent material palette that carries through the kitchen, living spaces, bathrooms, and primary ensuite.
